Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Emirates’ CEO, has formally opened the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024 in Dubai. This year’s event will be the largest to date, with over 2,300 exhibitors from 165 countries and a projected 41,000 people over four days.
According to a press statement from the Dubai government, ATM is the “leading global travel and tourism event” and will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from May 6 to 9. The event will bring together politicians, industry executives, and travel experts to discuss the subject “Empowering Innovation: Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship”.
The four-day conference agenda features 200 speakers across more than 50 sessions, making it a must-attend event for anyone in the travel and tourism industry. ATM has grown significantly since its launch in 1994, and this year’s event is expected to be the biggest and best yet.
Sheikh Ahmed highlighted Dubai’s position as a major destination for tourism and travel in the region and the event’s role in shaping the future of the industry. The focus of ATM 2024 is on showcasing innovative entrepreneurs in aviation, hotels, hospitality, and public attractions, and exploring their role in transforming the sector.
The conference features two main stages – the Global Stage and the Future Stage. Every day, summits on entrepreneurship, developing markets, sustainability, and luxury will take place on the Global Stage. Meanwhile, information connected to innovation, such as artificial intelligence (AI), NextGen destinations, travel technology, and future trend projections, will be presented on the Future Stage.
Arabian Travel Week is a 10-day celebration of travel and tourism activities in Dubai, and ATM 2024 is a part of it. The ATM Start-up Competition, ATM Travel Tech, GBTA Business Travel Forums, and Buyer Networking are among the other activities.
